Treatment of Swine Dysentery (SD)
Field trials in United Kingdom

The combined results of four field trials demonstrated effective treatment of Brachyspira hyodysenteriae with ECONOR. The trials were carried out on two farms involving 144 pigs in the UK to test the efficacy of ECONOR at 75ppm in-feed for seven days in the treatment of Swine Dysentery. 
 
Excellent results were achieved, giving substantial improvements both clinically and microbiologically

Field study (cross-over application) – Germany

One field trial was conducted in Germany to test the therapeutic efficacy of ECONOR in a herd with acute Swine Dysentery at 3mg/kg bw in the feed for 7 days. 
 
Results: ECONOR effectively prevented the symptoms of acute Swine Dysentery.
